Saindak Project Official Faces Backlash for Harsh Response to Local Student

Nokkundi, Chagai District, Balochistan: Saindak Metals Limited (SML) has come under fire for its harsh response to an email sent by a local student regarding educational scholarships. The incident has raised concerns over SML's commitment to addressing the educational needs of the community.

In the subject of the email, the student, Sami Sahil Baloch, had expressed his concerns about the selection process and allocation of funds for scholarships. However, instead of providing a constructive response, SML's reply was characterized by a harsh tone and disregard for the student's concerns.

Sami Sahil Baloch, a resident of Nokkundi, had written a detailed email highlighting the challenges faced by students in accessing quality education in the area. He pointed out that despite SML's ownership of valuable resources, the overall progress in sectors like education, healthcare, and infrastructure had been severely lacking.

The student's email also drew attention to the recent announcement of scholarships by SML, which allocated a minimal amount for educational support. This raised questions about the adequacy of the funds considering the dire state of education in the area.

However, instead of addressing these concerns, SML's response was dismissive and unsympathetic. The company's email not only failed to provide satisfactory explanations regarding the scholarship selection process but also demonstrated a lack of professionalism and courtesy.

The student, disheartened by the response, shared the email exchange with relevant government officials and individuals associated with MCC to shed light on the matter. This episode has sparked a conversation about SML's commitment to its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiatives and its engagement with the local community.

In light of the backlash, SML is now facing mounting pressure to reevaluate its approach and demonstrate a genuine commitment to improving educational opportunities in the region. Several local social media activists are urging the company to address the shortcomings in its scholarship program and foster an environment of open dialogue and collaboration.

The incident serves as a reminder that effective communication and a respectful approach are crucial when addressing community concerns. It highlights the importance of responsible corporate engagement and the need for companies like SML to prioritize the educational well-being of the communities in which they operate.
