Iran Deports 217 Pakistani Nationals Attempting to Reach Europe Illegally

Iranian authorities have deported 217 Pakistani nationals who had illegally entered the country with the intention of traveling further to European countries via Turkey. The deportees were handed over to Levies Force officials via the Rahdari Gate at the Taftan border on Tuesday.

Among the deportees, 152 individuals were from Punjab, 27 from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, 21 from Balochistan, 11 from Sindh, and 06 from Azad Jammu and Kashmir.

According to Levies Force officials, the illegal immigrants had embarked on their journey in search of a better life in European countries. They were detained by Iranian authorities before being deported back to Pakistan.

Upon their arrival at the Taftan border, the Pakistani authorities took charge of the deportees. The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) will now conduct further investigations into their illegal entry and attempted migration.

Illegal immigration has been a long-standing issue in the region, with many individuals risking their lives in pursuit of better economic opportunities and living conditions abroad. However, such attempts often involve perilous journeys and the involvement of human trafficking networks, leading to humanitarian and security concerns.

Authorities are urging the public to avoid attempting illegal entry into foreign countries and instead explore legal and safe channels for migration and employment opportunities abroad. They also emphasize the importance of cooperation with relevant agencies and following proper immigration procedures to ensure the safety and well-being of all individuals involved.
